Micro stuttering every few seconds while gaming

Hello. I have an Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 [16GB RAM, Ryzen 5 4600HS, and NVIDIA GTX 1650Ti]. It's been less than a year, and my laptop was performing very well, and I had no issues with it. But I've been experiencing micro-stuttering in games for the last two days. I've tried on three games(WWE 2K22, Stray, and Marvel's Spiderman Remastered ), and this issue seems to be there on every one of them. Although the temperatures are high(see screenshots), this has always been the case. Also, for some reason, the device's volume is excellent when listening to Spotify, but when I play a game, it becomes way lower. 30% volume on Spotify is much higher than 30% in games. I've tried some things to solve this, like reinstalling Windows 11, downgrading to Windows 10, Removing NVIDIA drivers with DDU, and reinstalling them. None of them is working. I cleaned the fans, and applied thermal paste, but sadly, no luck. I tried running the game on iGPU, and the games run smooth with no stuttering. So I'm convinced this has something to do with GPU. I read somewhere that a possible solution to this is turning off XMP in BIOS, but I couldn't find the option on my laptop. I've run out of patience trying to solve this. Please assist me.

    Hello Manson,

There's no stutter while playing videos. I'm tested on Prime Video and didn't find any issues. How do I solve this underclocking at high temps problem?

My BIOS doesn't contain the options to overclock. It doesn't have the AI Tweaker menu.

    Hello srikanthamsa,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

Thank you for providing the problem description, may I ask if there is a microstutter when the computer is watching videos or using other software?

In fact, I think this situation may be related to the fact that the CPU or GPU underclocking at high temperature when the computer is running games (especially AAA games or games with high hardware configuration).

I recommend that you bring up the quest manager by pressing ESC+Shift+Ctrl on your keyboard when running WWE 2K22,Stray and Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered comes up "Micro stutter"... Checking to see if the game was using a lot of CPU in progress confirmed my idea.

In addition, the AMD-related feature is called "A-XMP", which you can check to see if it is available in the BIOS Settings. At the same time, please check whether CPU overclocking is enabled on the BIOS page. If yes, please temporarily turn off the memory and CPU overclocking to see the effect.

Please feel free to let me know if you got any further updates, thanks.

    Best Regards,

Thanks for the suggestion, but I solved the sound problem by going to the Dolby Atmos app and switching audio mode from Music to Dynamic.

Sure I'll contact Asus and give you an update.

    Thanks for your reply.

The Settings involved in hardware overclocking are usually supported by the hardware vendor. I am not familiar with this, so I cannot provide any useful information. I suggest you contact Asus customer service staff for corresponding help.

In regards to the situation you mentioned that the sound volume decreases when playing the game, please click Search on the taskbar, type in mmsys. cpl and turn on Sound Settings, click on the "Communications" TAB, select "Do nothing" when Windows detects communication activity, and see if the problem is resolved.
