Hi All

Here is my issue. I have a Canon MG 3620 Printer. All was well using windows 10 but I decided that I needed a PC upgrade and a faster processor. So updated PC and Motherboard.

Now the MG 3620 worked fine with Windows 10 but it states driver is available using Windows 11.

Even though the software that Canon use states windows 11 Compatible no mater whether I try it using wifi or USB still does not work. Now printer works wirelessly if I print form iphone so know it is good to go.

Help please

I am sorry but I have been sick with Covid so not had a chance to complete any of this. The Canon printer worked with windows before I upgraded to Windows 11. So there is no reason for me to go back to 10 at this stage as I know it works.

To be brutally honest I have been reading about this and so many people are having the issue. It needs someone from Microsoft and someone from canon to talk to one another. Because guess what....Canon blame you and you blame Canon and the customers of both get nothing but finger pointing.

Can someone please escalate this within Canon and Microsoft to sort this **** out because it is getting ridiculous.

    Hi NeilHumphreys1,

Welcome to Microsoft Community and we regret the inconvenience caused to you.

Thanks for your description. I was able to understand the issue. Your printer does not work properly on Windows 11 (although Canon's official website states that this model is compatible with Windows 11). From the screenshots you provided I see that this seems to be caused by a driver incompatibility. May I know if you could see a dedicated driver for this printer for Windows 11 on the Canon website? Or I have another idea, but I think it will be more time consuming. That is, after you restore Windows 10 and confirm that the printer can be worked, then upgrade Windows 11 to further check. But I think an official confirmation from Canon is a better idea. Thank you for your patience and wish you and your family everything as well.

    Best Regards,

Thank you for your reply and please don’t worry about this. I think that we should start from the service and provide customers with good ideas as much as possible.

According to your previous description, the driver selection is no problem, and it can be used with Windows 10 and Windows 11. But you only seem to be able to install it on Windows 10 computers. May I know the version of your Windows 11? Please open the start menu (Windows menu), type winver and hit enter. Because I want to know if your Windows is Release preview version. Do you have another Windows 11 to use? If there is, try it because we can at least narrow it down that way. We can know if it is caused by compatibility issues or drivers. Thank you for your patience!

I have used both the standard drivers from Canon and the full set up drivers and neither works. The problem I have is that they are "blaming" Microsoft as they are saying printer is working.
