5.1 surround sound speakers

Hi Guys,

I have a question. Strange thing is happening, I have Logitech Z506 speakers {5.1} and cannot get them working in Windows 11. When I play anything, windows just combines sound like this

R / R

L / L

RS / R

LS / L

LFE / LFE

Center / RL

For some reason, surround speakers are not working. However, when I go to mmsys.cpl and configure speakers test sounds comes out the right way, so LS goes to LS instead of L and so on.

All of that means, windows is actually using only Stereo output for some reason and I have no idea why. Connection is as below

Motherboard capable of output 5.1 its even selected in Realtek Audio Console and test works correctly however when I play anything from youtube {5.1 tests} or even media, output is just combined... Any help with this please?

Tried to select full range as well, didnt help at all.

Windows updated to last version possible.

Did you sure that your motherboard is fully compatible for 5.1 ?

Once again check the technical specifications.

Could you tell motherboard model number and bios firmware is installed.

This is the correct behaviour (music or youtube are stereo sources so they are only play in the front speakers) as your asus realtek driver doesn't have speaker fill (which is to upmix stereo audio source to 5.1).

The stock Realtek audio console has speaker fill.

Asus realtek driver doesn't have speaker fill, you can only play true 5.1 audio source (i.e. 5.1 movies from netflix app) on all your speakers.

You need to download Equalizer APO and do the fake 5.1 upmix.
