Windows display 1600x900 resolution although in settings it’s set to 1920x1080

The title says it all.

Even in games the resolution is set to 1920x1080 and it doesn’t make a difference. My desktop and game’s edges look jagged and horrible.

Any help would be extremely appreciated

Tried both methods. both of them didn’t work.

    The output resolution is 1920x1080

But what my eyes see is way too far from it.

It feels like I’m playing on a damn ps2

Hi, thanks for that information, seems that there is an incompatibility with the Display driver, moreover, kindly follow the steps below for us to sort out the issue:

-Press the Windows key + X

    -Go to Device Manager

    -Expand the Display Adapters

-Right-click the display driver and click "Update Driver"

-Look for "Browse my computer for driver"

-Click "Let me pick drivers available drivers on my computer"

-Choose an old driver or other name of driver then select it and hit next until it installs.

If none will work from the above solution, I suggest doing an in-place upgrade wherein it will upgrade the device to the latest version and repair all issues without deleting any files.

Note: before doing this make sure to create a restore point: https://support.microsoft.com/en-hk/help/402753...

    3. On the License terms page, if you accept the license terms, select Accept.
    4. On the What do you want to do? page, select Upgrade this PC now, and then select Next.
    5. After downloading and installing, it should fix the issue.

I used to have this issue on a 1650 so I thought that was the problem. I’ve bought an rx 6650xt but forgot to whipe out the old nvidia drivers using DDU so i did that after installing the new amd drivers but unfortunately it didn’t solve the issue.

The monitor is set to 1920x1080 but that doesn’t affect the output resolution of the desktop.

The issue is with the system itself

Hi and thanks for reaching out. My name is Bernard a Windows fan like you. I'll be happy to help you out today.

I understand the issue you have, there is nothing to worry I am here to help, are you using a Desktop? if yes, please check your Monitor button and check if you have auto adjust.

If you are using a laptop, may I know the make and model of your laptop, please?

To check, press the Windows key + R then type in:

    msinfo32

    Then hit OK

Let me know the System Model and System Manufacturer you have?

What we will do is Uninstall and reinstall your graphics driver, if the same issue we will need to run a clean installation of your graphics driver.

Let me know how it goes and I hope that helps.
