I went to my Nvidia Control Panel and tried enabling the setting but it doesn't get checkmarked. I tried on my other laptop but it shows fine. I find this feature really useful and would love to know a solution.

    Dear Milk,In this case, I recommend that you try to perform a clean installation of the NVIDIA drivers:

    Download and run the latest driver package for your video card:https://www.nvidia.com/Download/driverResults.a...

    Follow the onscreen instructions until you get the Installation Options window;

    Select the Custom (Advanced) box and press Next;

    On the next screen, you will be able to choose the components to install (all should be checked by default and if you're not sure, leave them that way);

    In the Select driver component table, check the Perform a clean installation box and click Next;

    Update Microsoft Store apps;

    Open the store and click on Library;

    Click on Get updates and wait for all apps to be updated;

    Check if it is now possible to enable the option "Display GPU activity in the notification area";

    Hope this helps, see you soon!

    Omg, it worked! Thank you so much!

    I was even considering reformatting my entire laptop just to see if doing that will fix it. It would've taken me hours to redownload and transfer all my files. Thank you so much for saving my time. 💖💖💖💖

    Hello Milk, welcome to the Microsoft community, I'll be happy to help you today;

    I understand that the option "Display GPU activity in notification area" is not working;

    What exactly is your NVIDIA card model?

    Before answering the question I suggest you try to repair and restore the NVIDIA Panel;

    Press Windows key + i and access Applications;

    Click Apps and Features;

    Select Nvidia control Panel and click on the three dots on the right to access Advanced Options;

    Scroll down and click Repair;

    Click Reset;

    Check if it is now possible to enable the option "Display GPU activity in the notification area";

    Hope this helps, see you soon!

    My laptop has an Nvidia 3050Ti so I update the game-ready drivers from the Nvidia Geforce Experience App. I'm just trying to get Nvidia control panel's Display GPU Activity in Notification Area feature to work because clicking it doesn't make it pop up in my overflow, which it used to do.

    For a laptop you update drivers only from that laptop maker, what options are available are specific to that laptop maker
