I have a Unarc.Dll Error While Installing Games So Maybe Some Help?

And when I open the Administrator: Command Prompt and write the regsvr32 unarc.dll code he keeps telling me that The module "Unarc.dll" was loaded but the entry-point DllResisterServer was not found.

Make sure that "Unarc.dll" is a valid DLL or OCX file and then try again. So I really need help with that issue.

Hi Khalid. I'm Greg, 10 years awarded Windows MVP, here to help you.

Normally all .dll's for a game are in the installer so try reinstall of the game with a fresh download, also expedite all Windows Updates to see if enabling .Net Framework or other software is offered, also make sure Microsoft Store app is fully updated at in MS Store app > My Library > Get Updates.

Try these fixes for the error:

    https://windowsreport.com/unarc-dll/

(Avoid ad links which intrude into editorial copy, especially DO NOT INSTALL Restoro, PC Repair Tool and Reimage ads)

    https://linustechtips.com/topic/1203262-isdoned...

Report back results for each step so I know what else to suggest.

Feel free to ask back any questions. Based on the results you post back I may have other suggestions if necessary.

Well BossDweeb, rn you’re accusing me of something you can't be sure I did or not "that I downloaded a pirated game".

This is a serious accusation that I will not accept against myself because by your humiliating act you are violating my rights as an active user of Windows 11.

"your humiliating act you are violating my rights as an active user of Windows 11."

Humiliated ? Violated rights ? Image Poor violated; perhaps naive innocent, puppy! And on your first thread MS forums no less...

    • I stand by what I said. The two files I named above are not found in legitimate copies of games.

There are many who have come before you. Which is how I knew to include ISDone.dll in my post, as they are both generally

found together in 'free', 'cracked', 're-packed' (and similar euphemisms) games, and these files often lead to problems when

'unpacking', which is not necessary when installing a game from a legit source.

    • These files are also not found in Windows (except when pirated software\games have been installed).
    • Anyway, Greg linked you to a fix which, because it's be marked as an answer, will also help

others having problems unpacking\installing funny games, so all good...

[EDIT: Crikey! I just looked at Greg's second link and ![Image](https://learn-attachment.microsoft.com/api/attachments/0c66f9b7-a06c-4edd-b2b1-d2ba1da8d84c?platform=QnA"https://learn-attachment.microsoft.com/api/attachments/bafcc4ce-198f-4e5c-b184-9a898ca18203?platform=QnA" title="filestore.community.support.microsoft.com" rel="ugc nofollow">Image'Cracked' game is the topic....

    • Hey there Khalid ! Thanks for the informative thread old buddy. Good description of what the Unarc.dll does in Gregs link.

After all these years, I finally learned what this files function is.

btw - The C++ 2015-19 installers do not install an unarc.dll into Windows, or games.

    See ya! ... BD...

Unarc.dll (and ISDone.dll) files are only found in Pirated games. These dll files are unsigned files, and may not pass the Win11 security pub test.

If there is a fix for your game on Win11 the best place to find it would be on the pirate site the game was downloaded from.

    • Also note it is against the terms of use of these official Microsoft forums to ask for help with pirated games\software

    (imagine that! Whoda thought ! ) .

Doing so can lead to a ban, but the forum is pretty easy going, so that would only happen if someone persists in seeking

help to pirate a software\game. At which time the thread\user may get reported.
