my jpeg files and PDF files are saving as .22 (which happens when i end my file name with the date 30.11.22) and then i cannot open them as they are then saved as a 22 file, i get the following message paint cannot read this file, This is not a valid bitmap file, or its format is not currently supported, how do i stop it from saving as this type and how do i open all the files it has saved as .22

Hi, I'm Elise, and I'd be happy to help with your issue.

When you name the file also add .pdf add the end, if you use dots in the file name sometimes you need to explicitly enter this.

    Kind Regards,

    Elise

And uncheck the option Hide file extensions for known file types. That option is on by default and leads to issues like the one you encountered. It's also a potential security risk.
