If I select the list of approved CPUs for Windows 11, the list that comes up has my processor (Intel Xeon E5-1620 v4 "version 4") as approved yet it still fails on PC Health Check. Why is it on this approved CPU list?

    Hi Abels_JRE

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

That list in your screenshot is for Windows 10 version 21h2, that is not for Windows 11.

This is the list for Windows 11:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardw...

Microsoft were testing and adding some more processors, and did add some to the list, they indicate they have now completed testing, and no more processors will be added to the official list.

It is possible to install Windows 11 on an unsupported processor using the Windows 11 ISO, I have Windows 11 installed on an unsupported Core i7 7700HQ processor and Windows 11 runs very smoothly, however Microsoft advise you do not do that, they will not be liable for any problems caused by doing that and also you would not receive Windows 11 updates, however, everyone that has installed Windows 11 on an unsupported processor is still receiving updates.

Here is the steps that Microsoft provide

Another option would be to contact your PC manufacturer to see if that processor can be upgraded.

    Hi Abels_JRE

Your Intel Xeon E5-1620 processor is not on the Windows 11 supported processors list I provided the link to, you would need to use the the steps that Microsoft provide on the second link

That is true, I do have on my pc Windows 10 version 21H2. I am trying to upgrade to Windows 11 and according to this list, my CPU is supported. Yet this PC Health check says it is not. So what is wrong with my CPU?
