Album covers are not appearing for some music CDs in Windows Media Player

For some reason album arts are not appearing in Windows Media Player when I play my music CDs. They all have the same format, but only couple of them are showing the album cover in Media Player. I tried to switch to different media players, but they do not even show the album covers which Media Player does. I use the external drive. I also checked for the updates for Windows, Media Player and for my external drive - everything is up to date. Did not want to rip the CDs, but if it is the only option, then I will probably do it.
