Task Scheduler

How do you get the pop-up for a starting task to display some title?

For example, I have set up a test task that simply starts a program (actually an https//..... program)

When it kicks off at the desired time it just says "where do you want to open this task" but there is nothing to tell me what task it is - in practise there may be several tasks at the same start time.

There must be a way. The msg * action does display a message but that is separate to the pop-up and only appears after I have said where to start the task

    Hello Rick Fraser,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

If your requirement is to open a web site at a certain point in time through a task schedule, and you want to add a reminder to tell you which task is running, unfortunately this can not be done because the system will give priority to the opening method (asking which browser you are using).

But I have a solution that forces a browser to open the site. This still won't alert you, but it will open the website directly.

Open the Task Scheduler, please add your running plan as normal, but when adding "Program/script", using the Edge browser for example, please enter:

    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\msedge.exe"

(Be careful not to miss the double quotes)

In the Add arguments(optional), enter the URL you want to open and click OK.

Task plans set in this way will open the web address directly in the Edge browser at startup.

If your ultimate goal is to distinguish between tasks, this may help you, but if you still want prompts, unfortunately there is no setting to do that.

If anything is unclear, please do not hesitate to let me know.

    Best regards,
