I tried all of these steps, this did not fix my issue.
pc randomly becoming very very slow
i have an infuriating issue, where every so often, my computer will slow down immensely, apps stop responding, even the mouse cursor lags. i have no idea what causes this, as there is no way to know and whenever it happens i open up task manager to all of the component load being normal. i am running windows 11 22h2 build 22621.819, my specs are (gigabyte a5 k1 laptop) ryzen 7 5800h, rtx 3060, 16gb ram, 1tb ssd (boot drive), 1tb hdd (game drive). i have run multiple virus scans, but to no avail. any help would be greatly appreciated

2022-11-26T01:18:22+00:00 I am very tech savvy, so I have ruled out a lot of possibilities like viruses, drivers, apps, overheating, etc. I am well aware that the possibilities are endless, I was more hoping that there is a known issue with my software/hardware etc. I am trying an in-place upgrade, so maybe that will fix the issue.

2022-11-26T01:10:08+00:00 There's actually too many possibilities in reality. Its not even certain that a system restore, clean install, etc will fix it.
An obvious point of possibility is the OS itself which is fully capable of doing that in far too many ways. You'd have to test against another OS and/or try many educated guessed settings (or happen to find something to go on).
While it is possible however too to have performance issues from hardware drivers, BIOS, heat, and so on.

2022-11-26T00:40:59+00:00 Hello alecj0217,
Thank you for updating me with that information. I apologize that the above methods did not resolve the issue.
You may need to consider performing a System Restore at an earlier date where everything is still working.
Press Windows key+R to open Run then type: rstrui.exe
Press Enter. This will open System Restore
Click the Next button.
Choose the restore point at an earlier date where everything still works.
Click Next then Finish
If the issue still persists, please try performing an In-place Upgrade. Performing this can repair broken operating system files while your personal files, settings and installed applications will not be removed.
