This also appears to have not solved the issue. I will need to wait until another of our Windows 11 laptops is in the office next week to try displaying on another Windows 11 laptop but the TV definitely isn't working still.
Cannot stream to TV on Windows 11
Currently rolling out Windows 11 and have run into a problem with streaming to a Samsung 7 Series TV.
It works fine and several different laptops can stream to it - all on Windows 10.
Our new laptops on Windows 11 cannot, the TV shows in the Win+K menu, says connecting, the TV asks for approval the first time per laptop which we approve but then it disconnects and Windows says there was an error connecting.
We know the TV is fine.
We have tried:
- Allowing cast to device through Windows Defender firewall.
- Turning on network discovery and file and printer sharing.
- Confirmed all drivers are up to date.
- Updated firmware on the TV.
Any suggested solutions as this is quite a major issue when I'm meant to be rolling out several Windows 11 laptops!

2022-11-10T02:01:37+00:00 Dear Daniel Thomas5
Thanks for your clarification. According to my own tests, we may need to install a wireless display if you want to enable Win+K projection in Windows 11. Open Settings > Tap Application > Find Optional Features > Select view Features > Search for Wireless display in the list and install > Restart when it was installed and connect your TV again.
In addition, as a test environment, could you please try to project the Windows 11 to other computers through Win+K, so that we can check whether this function can be enabled.
Best Regards!

According to my test, Besides casting your screen through Windows+K, please try to open Movies & TV to see if you can output video through the cast of this application.
In addition, there is another way to determine whether your current computer supports the Cast function, press and hold Windows+R > enter dxdiag > wait for the application to load and choose to save all the information > open the notepad and hold down Ctrl + F to search for Miracast to see if it is With HDCP, as shown in the picture:
According to the following thread, if the graphics card does not have HDCP, the Miracast function can not be used.

2022-11-03T10:06:12+00:00 Hello Daniel Thomas5
Thank you for sharing your concerns on this matter
According to the/Windows 11/category you released, we know that your problem is "Can't stream your Windows 11 laptop to TV". am I right?
- As you have mentioned, your Windows 11 PC is newly purchased, if it is convenient for you. I suggest you update the device driver of the current computer to the latest. Press and hold Windows+X>Select Device Manager>Find the corresponding wireless network card driver and Graphics card driver>Right click to select Update Driver
- At the same time, press and hold Windows>Search CMD>Run as administrator>enter the command
netsh wlan show drivers - View your results to see if the current hardware support projection to other devices or not. If the result shows No, it means that the current device does not support projection to other devices
- We noticed that you currently allow Windows Defender Firewall to cast to devices. For this, could you please try to turn off the current Windows Defender Firewall and check whether the device projection is blocked by the firewall in turn
- Turn Microsoft Defender Firewall on or off
In addition, please try to describe your current wireless network card model
Recently, it seems that we have received feedback from some users that some Intel wireless network cards may have problems that computers cannot cast to other devices. This may also be related to your device network card
We are always looking forward to your update
