I play video games regularly and I use a ps4 controller to play them. I use a bluetooth usb adapter to connect the ps4 controller to my pc, however, I always have to go into settings, click " remove device" from the pc, then connect with bluetooth and type in the four digit pin which is 0000. I tried using the "windows key + a" shortcut to open the menu with all the connection options then click connect. When I click connect nothing shows up even though my controller is on pairing mode. i have tried Is there a fix for this issue?

i have already tried

  1. creating a new user account in pc.
  2. removing hidden grey devices from bluetooth in device manager.
  3. resetting controller.
  4. removing everything drivers in Bluetooth

Another weird thing, whenever I m in device manager > bluetooth and press the PS button on my controller and right after that a "Wireless controller" pops under the list, but it still doesnt connect with controller with resetting

    Hello alpha_659, welcome to the Microsoft community, I'll be happy to help you today;

    I understand that you are having problems connecting your PS4 controller to your PC;

    Your PS4 must be turned off for you to be able to connect the controller to the PC;

    Initially I recommend that I recommend controlling the settings;

    Press Windows key + i and go to Bluetooth and other devices;

    Click on View more devices;

    Remove the Wireless Controller from the list;

    You will need Steam to be able to use the controller:https://store.steampowered.com/about/?snr=1_4_4...

    Now try the methods given in the video below:

    Firstly, I only use this controller with this single PC, so no other device its being paired or connected to , and secondly Its not that its not connecting, its not Automatically connect after being paired once, it requires to be paired every time i want to use. I already do have DS4Windows software, it works fine after being paired(every time) . but Im looking for a way to make connect automatically, like my old Dualshock4 used to. (new one is PS5 controller).

    Hi, I think I may have came across as "i m have trouble connecting my PS controller with my pc" but the thing is if you have used any controller (xbox/ps) Or even any bluetooth device with pc you would know that you only need to pair it once and then after that you can just start/turn on the device and it connects to pc automatically. but my dualsense(ps5) controller doesn't quick connect to my pc. every time i press ps button, it glows blue light for couple of times before being static for 2 seconds followed by nothing showed(controller turns off).

    So, every time i need to use it on my PC,

    I need to look under the "paired devices" and remove controller followed by >unpair > turn on bluetooth> press share+ps button on my controller> >wait for it to show up on my bluetooth searching device as "input" > it asks for "password">i enter 0000>good to go., I have to do this every single time, and this is obviously new as my older PS4 dualshock 4 controller never had this problem. my old dualshock 4 only needed to be paired once and just press ps button>lights up>connected>good to go.

    Also, after its connected there's issue, i can use controller with steam or however i want but connecting is the issue

    if there's a way to send a video, please let me know, as of now I cant find fix for this for months

    Dear alpha_659,once paired with the PC you will not be able to pair the controller with another device;

    If you pair the controller with another device and want to use it on the PC again, you will have to remove the controller from Windows settings and pair it again to connect it;

    Try installing DS4Windows (As shown in the video I sent in the previous post);

    Check if the connection problem is fixed;

    Hope this helps, see you soon!
