Hi everyone, my laptop has Windows 11 Pro and it has this ongoing problem. Every three or four days, the laptop (Lenovo thinkbook) stops recognizing wifi networks. I have to start the troubleshooting tool to fix it. Does anybody know if there is a permanent solution to this issue? Sometimes, I am in the middle of a meeting and it takes time to run the troubleshooting.

Thank you for your help!

    Hi Ingrid.

    I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

    See if one of the procedures below helps fix this issue.

    Reset the network settings:

    1. Press "Windows + I" and select "Network & Internet > Advanced network settings";
    2. Select "Network Reset";
    3. Select "Reset Now", and at the confirmation screen, select "Yes";

    Note: The PC will need to be restarted.

    1. Now open Start and type cmd;
    2. Right-click on "Command Prompt" in the result list and select "Run as administrator";
    3. At the Command Prompt, type the following commands one at a time and press Enter:

    netsh int ip reset

    netsh winsock reset

    ipconfig /release

    ipconfig /renew

    ipconfig /flushdns

    1. Restart your PC and see if the issue is resolved.

    If it persists, reinstall the Wi-Fi driver.

    Before starting the procedure, go to the support area of the Lenovo website and download the latest Wi-Fi driver.

    (If you cannot find it, let me know the exact model of your Lenovo laptop)

    Uninstall the current driver:

    1. Open "Device Manager" (Windows + X and select Device Manager);
    2. Expand "Network adapters";
    3. Right-click on the Wi-Fi adapter and select "Uninstall device";

    (It may have more than one adapter, if you don't identify the correct one, send a screenshot "Windows + Shift + S")

    1. On the confirmation screen, check "Attempt to remove the driver for this device" and click "Ok";
    2. Restart the PC.

    Install the driver you downloaded from the manufacturer.

    I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions.

    I am having the same issue with my hp desktop.

    ALL of my OTHER devices (IPhone, IPad, Macbook Pro) have NO issues with connectivity.

    NONE of my devices are hardwired to the modem.

    So, it's apparently only an issue with my Windows 11.

    HELP!
