Perhaps I wasn't specific enough in the title,

I've had my PC for a while and It's quite unorganized and messy, so I'm going to factory reset it and have a fresh start.

When I originally purchased my PC, I bought Windows 10 Pro and then upon the release of Windows 11, immediately free upgraded to Windows 11 Pro.

My question is, if I fully reset my PC and select Remove Everything option will I still keep my Windows 11 Pro or will it just re-install the default Windows 11.

Bear in mind I no longer have the activation key for windows.

    Hello James, how are you?

My name is Paloma B., I am very happy to be able to try to help you in the best possible way.

Rest assured, your version of Windows will not be removed.

The Reset process will just wipe Windows to the initial dataless state.

Erases all files and settings made in Windows.

However, it will not affect the Windows version, this is only related to settings and files.

At the end of the process, you will reset your user and have Windows 11 totally clean to start again.

James please be aware that a Factory rest [ie. if the PC has a copy of your original Windows 10 Pro on a partition installed by the manufacturing Factory] then you will reinstall the original factory installed Windows 10 Pro.

However, if you reset your Windows 11 Pro [either keeping files or removing them] you will still have Windows 11 Pro.
