How do I play SecuROM games on windows 10?

I have a few games on CD that use either safedisc, or securom DRM. I'm well aware that Microsoft has made this feature completely unavailable in modern operating systems, but that doesn't stop me from wanting to play the games I paid for.

Some of them are available in places like GOG, or Steam, but I'm not happy at the prospect of paying again for a game I already have. Others are just not available as digital downloads at all.

Options that I'm currently aware of are:

Repurchase the game as a digital download (Do not want this!)

use a noCD crack/patch to bypass the DRM (dangerous, and illegal!)

use a VM of XP to play the game (At least one of these games is too demanding for that)

Any other ideas which would still be legal would be greatly appreciated. Honestly, this problem should've been fixed, when Microsoft decided to disallow these DRMs to work, but that's obviously not going to happen.

One of the games (the demanding one that is not available digitally) actually does work on Windows 10. Found this out by total accident.

Most free VM software that I'm aware of allows only a very small amount of VRAM (video memory) to be allocated to the virtual machine. I can check the hardware requirements of these games, and just hope they don't require more.

Microsoft should really do something about this problem, or at least restore the option to temporarily disable driver signing enforcement, which was the original workaround.

    Hello Jasoncollege246,
    I am Jaspreet Singh.
You have mentioned all the legal/non legal ways.
The best option is to use a VM with the supported OS apart from that there is sadly no legal way to play the games.

This is a user forum and hence Microsoft employees rarely visit here. Most of the user base is consumers like you and me.

I would recommend sending feedback directly to Microsoft using the feedback hub on your windows device so that this may be implemented.

Here are the steps to send your feedback/feature request directly to the team : https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/sen...
