I've just started to get this error message while trying to print something. I've been trawling the internet for some help but all I find is about Windows update. I've done updates and removed temporary files but now change, I still can't print anything.
I've added a screenshot, so any help and advice will be greatly received

Hi Mitchell
Thanks for your help, but sadly nothing worked. When I followed the path to 'PRINTERS', the folder was empty, so nothing to delete!
When I tried to printer another document this came up, 'Word can't print due to a problem with the printer setup'.
I've uninstalled and then reinstalled the printer but that hasn't resolve me problem.
I've also tried command prompt and run sfc /scannow but when I run as administrator the keyboard won't type
Hi Mitchell, it turns out that the printer was the problem and not the computer. The fold out flap that the LCD screen and the control buttons were on had developed a break in the connection somewhere. I've replaced the printer and the new one is working well.
Thank you for your help and advice, it's well appreciated.
All the best
Mark
Hi Marky,
Thank you for your reply.
If the above steps do not work, and you still do after uninstalling and reinstalling the printer, I recommend you to test whether the printer can be used normally on other connected computer devices to confirm whether the printer is abnormal.
If you have the same problem on another device, maybe the printer itself has malfunctioned and it may need to be repaired.
However, if it works perfectly on other devices, the problem still exists on your device. In order to eliminate possible problems with the account profile, I recommend you to create an account and log in to the device with this account to confirm whether the printer problem still exists.

Hello Marky,
Welcome to Microsoft Community.
According to your description and screenshots, the prompt 0x800706be appears when printing, right?
Updating Windows is indeed one of the usual methods of recovery, but I can offer you a few alternatives. Right click "Start" -- "Run", type "net start spooler", then press Enter to run, this command will directly launch the "Print Spooler" service, please try printing again.
If this does not work, search for "Services" in the taskbar and open the application, locate the "Print Spooler" service, stop it temporarily, then open "Explorer" and navigate to the following path:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\PRINTERS
Delete everything in this folder, then restart the "Print Spooler" service, and the problem should be fixed.
If anything is unclear, please do not hesitate to let me know.
