ASUS Vivobook 15
Windows 10
ASUS SDRW-08D2S-U Lite Slim DVD-RW
I have asked this before and no one was able to suggest anything, this has been going on for a month or so now.
This needs an old School CD tech expert plus Windows Expert who knows CD intimatly as well as Windows.
I have several Music CD's from 2006 that, as well as the music, have user accessable files such as video, image files and small software apps. The data sections can clearly be seen when you hold the CDs under a light and the data section in around mounting hole. I think this means the data is after the last music track?. The data section are not protected in any way and the CD inserts recomend that the files are copied to a users harddrive to prevent audio glitching (this is a 2006 CD afterall).
From searching online, this suggests that the CDs are XA-Multi CD format and possibly authored using Macromedia and may not meet the more modern Bluebook standard.
Windows 10 will read and play the music files perfectly but it does not see the enhanced data files at all. I have tried ISO Buster but it does not work. I tried a program called AnyToISO which gave the error You cannot create ISO Image of a multisession disk". This confirms that the CD has a data section.
I have tried creating a Windows 95 machine in Oracle Virtual Box and although it can see and play the audio, it also can not see the data files.
I tried the same but with Windows XP VM but the same result.
I do have a 2006 Pioneer IDE DVD-Rom in a modern USB cart that my Vivobook sees and is quite happy to access and play Music from the CDs but again, the data files can not been seen.
I wonder if this is because Windows 10, and the Motherboard, simply do not know how to process the old pre bluebook standards of CD's?
The software app AnyToIso confirms the CD are Multisession
If I create a Bin & Cue file in IMG Burn and drop the Cue file onto Notepad it shows that a data track does exist (just like AnyToISO does)...

Also in case it helps, the following information is taken from a info file one of the later CDs that do work in windows 10 (albiet in Win XP compatability mode)
"The PC version also includes an autorun.inf file which makes the U-MYX player automatically launch when the disk is inserted.
What Will We Deliver?
We can deliver a single-session hybrid disk which contains two separate data layers – one for Windows computers and another one for MacOS computers. Because the disk has two data layers (ISO and HFS), Windows users will not see the MacOS executable (and likewise, MacOS users will not see the Windows executable).
What is the Next Step?
When you have received the disc from us you will need to supply it to your manufacturers, they can then combine the enhanced session that we have created with the audio data from your CD (creating an Enhanced CD). If your manufacturers require any further assistance, please put them in contact with us."
This is what AnyToIso retirns when I try to create an ISO of either of the two discs.

Here are two images of the data side of the two CDs in question
