How do I go about installing WiFi drivers on my new PC without having Windows/an internet/ethernet connection?

Simple as that really, I’ve bought a new pc and it has a MSI B660M A Pro with WiFi, I’ve attached the antennas but it won’t connect me to the internet in order to complete my Windows install (it didn’t come with Windows so I can only go as far as the “Let’s connect you to a network” page during setup as it can’t install Windows without one). I don’t have a CD drive in the pc, I cant connect via ethernet but I do have a usb flash drive and a separate laptop - so I was wondering how I’d go about installing the WiFi drivers with the predicament I currently have?

Thanks in advance

    Hello Jody,

Good day! I'm John Dev a Windows user like you and I'll be happy to assist you today. I know this has been difficult for you, Rest assured, I'm going to do my best to help you.

Please try this if it helps.

"If you don't have an Internet connection and none of the above worked for you, then press the Shift + F10 keys to open a command prompt. Copy and paste the OOBE\BYPASSNRO command into the command prompt, and press Enter. This will restart the computer, and take you back to step 13. You should then be able to click/tap on I don't have internet when you get back to this step, and go to step 21D to set up a local account."

Please check the link below for more details.

Who is your Internet Service Provider? What type of Modem/Router do you have? What Operating System is on your computer?

You say your computer has Wi-Fi, how are you able to tell it has Wi-Fi? What Wi-Fi adapter do you have?

What is the make and model of your computer?

I just went through that same process yesterday. On my system, several networks were listed and some weren't even mine, dand I also, had not already installed a driver.

But, in your case, there were no available networks shown? Windows normally has drivers usable by most network devices. The trick John DeV mentions is good but most folks would not be able to find out about it in a situation without a network connection. I have to believe there is a backup plan where you would not be required to have a network connection, if no networks were available.

The next time I do a clean install, I will have to test.
