After Shutdown everything is gone.

I shut down my computer and now when I turned it back on everything on my desktop has been reset, all of my files are gone, along with my word, excel, PowerPoint and access. No matter what I do on this new desktop, nothing saves either so it gets reset after each shutdown.

HI ThrowRD. I'm Greg, 10 years awarded Windows MVP, here to help you.

It sounds like it might have created a Temporary Account because your account was too corrupted to start. If so it should have informed you it needed to do this. It would be a brand new account which is named differently.

Check in C:\Users if you see your old account. If so copy your files out externally now from the old account. Do not set up the new account as it may go away with any restart.

Then try restarting the PC a few times to see if it can start into the old account. If not I'll help you create a new account to use with the existing Windows and apps, or do a Reset or Reinstall.

Standing by here to help you more after you report back results on above steps
