    Hello, how are you?

My name is Paloma B., I am very happy to be able to try to help you in the best possible way.

This is an open community, whenever you need you can share the problem so that possible repairs are suggested.

Could you share your computer model? Press Windows+R, type msinfo32 and click OK, when opening the info window, send me a printscreen please.

If it is a Dell notebook, this setting must be in the BIOS of the computer.

When accessing it by pressing the F2 key as soon as you turn it on, you will have the Keyboard settings in the menu to configure the lighting as you wish.

    Sorry for delay.

The laptop is an Acer Swift 3, w Windows 11.

Have not tried any of recommended solutions above.

Did adjust power function on laptop from balanced to high performance, which gave additional seconds of time to backlighting remaining on, for grand total of about 40 seconds.

Went to Acer Community & read through comments re the backlit keyboard for Acer Swift. Seems to be an ongoing problem, w users telling Acer this is an issue, but nothing being done by Acer to, at the very least, allow a choice of permitting the backlight to remain in continuous on. That is disappointing.

Thanks for your replies. If I get aditional info or a solution, I'll get back to you.

Lot of laptops have this setting for backlite keyboard time out in bios. Otherwise, some OEMs have an application that allows you to make adjustments within that app. Best to inquire with the PC maker about how to adjust this.
