Can someone help advise me as to opening a bunch of .pvm files I found in my old photo folders that I had stored on an old external hard drive?

I now have a new laptop, windows 11, I would be very grateful, if someone can help advise me, are these my old valuable photos, or they just extensions I can delete? I am afraid to do anything with them.

    Maybe this will help:

    https://fileinfo.com/extension/pvm#:~:text=Place%20your%20PVM%20file%20in,and%20select%20your%20PVM%20file.

    It says 3 file types use the .pvm file extension.

    Perhaps your solution is #2 or #3.

    Thank you thank you! I will do research on the software first as everyone is telling me to download something and I get worried it will corrupt my new laptop :-)
