Micro SD card no longer detected after Windows drive repair option.

I inserted my micro SD card into my computer in order to backup the files, but Windows said there was an error with the drive and that it could attempt to repair the drive. After hitting yes, it said that it could not fix the issue and after that my SD card was no longer detected. I've checked on multiple devices like my phone and in disk management but it no longer shows up at all. Did Windows kill my micro SD or is there some way to get it back?

Hi, I'm Independent Advisor, I'm here to help you.

When your laptop or computer doesn't recognize the SD card, you may try workarounds:

    1. Change the SD card reader and reconnect it to your PC.
    2. Change the SD card drive letter.
    3. Update the SD card driver.
    4. Run CMD CHKDSK command to fix SD card file system error.
    5. Restore SD card data and format SD card to FAT32 (smaller than 32GB) or exFAT (larger than 32GB).

If None of this works, try connecting a new sd card and check if it's working or "Not".

It might happen that your sd card is broken and can no longer be used.

I hope it helps, let me know if you need any further assistance.

    Kind Regards,

    Hania.
