Graphics card wont show up in device manager

Hello, I've been dealing with this issue for the last 2 days, basically yesterday I started up my pc and the screen was black so I switched to mother board hdmi and i was able to use my computer from there, but for some reason in device manager my graphics card(nvidia 1050 ti) was hidden and no longer connected. so after doing many different things led by mutiple youtube videos I scanned and repaired my SSD C: drive and rebooted and it fixed it. however after shutting it down for the night i turned it back on the following morning and same issue, had to boot from integrated graphics. however when i repeated the SSD scan&repair it kept saying it needed repairing so I found i had to start go through Window's recovery process and fixed it through that. However my SSD no longer had any issues my graphics card was still not being seen by my computer. So I found more youtube videos and tried many more things to no avail. I ended up plugging my GPU into my Brother's computer to confirm if it was my gpu that was the issue. It ran totally fine on my brother's computer. so i returned to mine and completly factory reset my PC completely wiped and reinstalled windows. It did not fix it. However i took my PSU out and tested all the ports thinking it might be a power issue, I could find no faults so i just plugged my gpu into a different pcie power port on my PSU(corsair RM750) and suddenly when i rebooted IT WAS THERE, i reinstalled all gpu drivers and started using my pc like normal, untill i got off and put my pc in sleep mode, when i came back the issue had also come back and now im at a loss.

here is photo's off all things I think might be associated:

Alot of the pci express root port #xxx devices have this kind of event attached:

I willl quikly screenshot and respond to any questions if needed. to resolve this issue, Thanks!!

Hello Christopher. I'm Greg, 10 years awarded Windows MVP and Volunteer Moderator, here to help you.

    1. The Display driver is so important here that merely updating it is sometimes not enough. So let's try everything possible to get it working correctly:

First make sure you have updated the Display driver from the PC or motherboard maker's Support Downloads web page for your exact model number, HP Serial Number or Dell Service Tag - from the sticker on the PC.

If necessary first remove the old driver using DDU https://www.wagnardsoft.com/content/ddu-guide-t... (not necessary with Microsoft Basic driver which is a placeholder if nothing else is available) and/or installing in Safe Mode with Networking (so you have internet), or Safe Mode, accessed by one of these methods: https://www.digitalcitizen.life/4-ways-boot-saf...

While there check also for newer chipset, BIOS/UEFI firmware (very important), network, sound, USB3 and other drivers, comparing to the ones presently installed in Device Manager reached by right clicking the Start Menu.

If this doesn't give you the latest or ideal driver for what you need, compare it to the driver offered by the Intel driver update Utility here: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/...

or the Nvidia Update utility here: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Scan.aspx?lang=e...

or the AMD autodect utility here: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/P...

For Display issues one fix that is working is to Roll back or Uninstall the Driver on the Display Device > Driver tab, restart PC to reinstall driver.

You can also try older drivers in Device Manager > Display device > Driver tab > Update Driver > Browse > Let Me Pick.

Then you will know you've tried everything in addition to Windows Update drivers.

Adjust the screen resolution until it fits and looks best at Settings > System > Display.

Check for a monitor driver by expediting Windows Updates (including Optional Updates) in Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for Updates to install all Updates until no more are offered.

    1. Go over Windows using this checklist to make sure the install is set up correctly, optimized for best performance, and any needed repairs get done: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki...

Start with Step 4 to turn off Startup freeloaders which can conflict and cause issues, then Step 7 to check for infection the most thorough way, then step 10 to check for damaged System Files, and also Step 16 to test a new Local Admin account to replace yours which may be corrupted. Then if necessary continue with the other steps to go over your install most thoroughly.

    1. If nothing else works then do the minor, non-destructive Repair Install which reinstalls Windows while keeping your files, apps and most settings in place, brings it up to the latest version and solves most problems.

    HARDWARE TESTS -

    1. Test the memory using WIndows Memory Diagnostics: https://www.techrepublic.com/article/how-to-det...

If problems are found then test the RAM overnight to stress it with the best bootable test memtest86, following this guide to test both sticks and slots:

    1. Test the hard drive or SSD with diagnostics:

    https://www.lifewire.com/free-hard-drive-testin...

    https://mashtips.com/ssd-health-test-and-perfor...

HP and Dell have hardware diagnostics triggered by tapping the ESC or F12 keys respectively as you power on.

Best is to use the HDD/SSD manufacturer's own if there is one, otherwise use Seatools bootable long test: http://blog.nowherelan.com/2013/04/04/boot-seat...

Follow this up with a full Disk Check from the Command Prompt in Repair Mode or from bootable media: https://www.groovypost.com/howto/check-hard-dri... if necessary from the Command Prompt at boot: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/2294-advanc...

    1. Stress test the rest of your hardware:

    1. Try another Video Card, which you can return if it doesn't fix the problem.

Feel free to ask back any questions. Based on detailed results you post back I will have other suggestions if necessary.

    Christopher -

It looks like Nvidia can't continue because it's not detecting the hardware, likely due to the PCI controller failing to start. Let's take the known fixes for each of the given Nvidia and PCIe Code 45 errors first to see if they can resolve it:

Based on the answers you post back I may have other suggestions. I would also post this in the best hardware forums Tom's Hardware above to get parallel coverage for possible hardware issue, since we do not handle hardware here. If you are still under one year minimum Support Warranty for the motherboard you can also consult them.

You mentioned an older video card. You can try reseating it, examine PCI slot under bright light to blow out any debris with canned air, also try another video card you research is compatible for hardware which you can return if it does not resolve this.
