The only solution at this is to install windows 10. I've done everything I can for months to make my TB4 EGPU work, but it doesn't. Asus has suggested to ship the computer for repairs, because they can't figure it out. But, then I found another thread on this subject, after googling "thunderbolt controller missing in device manager", and all the results and people who had the same issue had a 12 gen intel combined with windows 11. I installed windows 10 on an external drive just to test if it worked, and it did! Even though my laptop shipped with windows 11, windows 10 works without issues. In windows 10, the thunderbolt controller shows up in device manager, tb control center works and both my tb4 hub and EGPU seems to work fine.
My final advice, if you love windows 11 for some reason, keep an eye out if they fix this issue in 11, but until they do, run windows 10. I don't see any point in windows 11 now, since my laptop actually runs better on windows 10 anyway. They'll have to really improve things before I'll go back there.
