Windows 11 Core Isolation - Exempted Drivers

Hello

After having gone through the Windows 11 2H22 update. All seems well until, I recently got a notification from Windows informing me that my Core Isolation function is disabled. And recommends that I enable this for added security. Which I did (enabled).

But after having done that, each time I reboot my laptop, I now get the following notification:

I've learnt online that this driver "iqvw64e.sys" file is a software component of Intel Network Adapter Diagnostic Driver by Intel.

"The Intel Network Adapter Diagnostic Driver is a diagnostic tool for Intel drivers. Iqvw64e.sys is a system file that is associated with the Intel Network Adapter Diagnostic Driver utility and is not harmful to your PC. The Intel Network Adapter Diagnostic Driver is programmed to diagnose issues with Intel software and drivers. It is important to leave this program running to take advantage of its capabilities and for it to function properly."

It seems this driver is important.

At the moment the only two options I have is either a) Turn off Core Isolation; or b) Ignore this notification and not load the driver

So, my questions are: Does Core Isolation have an exemption list function - where we can allow certain drivers to load? Or is it all (enabled) or nothing (disabled) for Core Isolation?

    Hello

Yes, I have checked the websites of both Intel & Dell (I have a G3 laptop), prior to posting my original question. Thinking an update on the driver should fix the issue. It didn't.

I used both Intel & Dell's respective update tools to search my laptop for the latest drivers.

Intel's tool (Intel Driver & Support Assistant) was installed on my laptop today and when ran, found 3 newer drivers available. They were promptly updated, but that didn't fix the issue.

Then I ran, Dell's tool (Dell Update), and found a new BIOS update (released only today) and was promptly updated. Sadly, to no avail.

I still get the same notification as I shared from my previous post.

If your PC does not have intel based LAN card or a WIFi device, then you should remove that particular system file "iqvw64e.sys"

Boot windows into safe mode, then remove that file.

Thanks. I would suggest clicking Do not show this message again - I believe this should not cause an issue.

    Hello Raju

Below is a list of Intel drivers I have for my Networking and Wireless system.

It seems to suggest, I use Intel drivers for my wireless functions.

    Hi,

I am Sumit here to assist you with this question.

There is no exempt option for Core Isolation drivers.

Have you checked for updated Network drivers from Intel's website? It might have an update for this driver allowing you to remove this notification.

    Keep us posted.
