Hi there, I am trying to install windows 11 on a virtual machine on a Mac mini but the Shift + F10 button won't engage the windows command prompt during the installation. Is there another way of doing this? Thank you, with regards Robert.

This is a bug in the windows 11 ARM build, To fix that you need to do as follow

    1. Press 'fn+shift+f10'
    2. Press 'option+tab'
    3. Then you will see a UAC window, move to that window by pressing 'option+tab' and then press 'yes' button

    Then CMD will be opened

    Hi Robert,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

I am not that familiar with the Mac keyboard, but on a PC, if Shift + F10 does not work, Shift + Fn + F10 does work, is there any key on your keyboard to switch the actions on the function keys (F1 - F12)?

I had same issue on windows 11 s mode but I was able to resolve it.

when window asking for connection appear, press ctrl+shift+esc, locate process named Network Connection Flow, right click and open it's location, after that kill the process. Now return on the folder previously open containing the exe of the process, go up one position and rename that folder so windows cannot find it anymore. Now go back to setup screen and click on retry (twice in my case) license agreement appear a you're able to continue setup without connecting your pc on internet.

    Hi Robert,

Just checking in with you, were you able to use that shortcut to get into Command Prompt?

If you still cannot get into Command Prompt, when you boot form the USB, select 'Repair This Compute, and Command Prompt should be available from the Recovery Environment.
