Cannot install HP Support Assistant

Hi.

I removed HP Support Assistant some time ago and everything worked fine.

Now, I'm trying to install it again but it always says a newer version is already installed and refuses to install.

I've tried Microsoft Fix-it, I've removed all entries in the register than mention HP Support Assistant. But nothing works.

Any hint?

    Hi.

    Thanks for all the links.

Unfortunately, none of the solutions seems to work.

Given that, from one of the posts you linked to, HPSA may be a security threat, I may be better off without it :D

Add/remove dialogue, what entries for HP are shown?

You are reinstalling full feature software from HP support site?

I've used Revo to remove some leftovers from one HP program, but HPSA was not on the list.

    Hi Joao.

I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

Go to "Settings > Apps > Apps & features", and search for HP. See if HP Support Assistant is still installed.

If HP Support Assistant is not appearing in Apps & features, there may be some leftovers from the application.

See if you can completely uninstall it using Revo Uninstaller Free.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions.
