Apparent DX driver issues on my Dell Inspiron 15 5567

I have a Dell 15 5567 with very good specs, i7, R7 GPU, 16GB, 1TB HDD, FHD touch screen since 2020. In recent months, after several Windows updates and I also installed the latest Dell drivers, the computer starts to develop a BSOD with the error "Video_DXGKRNL_Fatal_Error" and crashes. It used to happen may be once a week but it seems to rear its ugly heads more often than one a week. So I basically reinstalled the GPU driver and DirectX but they are both current.

I search the web and this seems to be a common issues with Dell and other laptops. I would like to know if other Dell laptop users had similar problem like mine on their computers with discrete GPUs. The fans on my computer occasionally run longer than I expected even if I am not running any CPU and GPU intensive apps. I would appreciate any suggestion on how to fix the apparent software problem for Windows and the GPU on my computer to get it working again as it should. It is frustrating to get very little help from Dell other than the drivers that they provided.

Hi and thanks for reaching out. My name is Bernard a Windows fan like you. I'll be happy to help you out today.

I understand the issue you have, nothing to worry I am here to help, and just to confirm can you still use the affected device? if so, we need to analyze the error, can you please check if you have minidump files on the PC so that we can further examine what is the root cause of the issue?

Press Windows key + E (To open file explorer)

Click "This PC" > then follow the file path:

    C:\Windows\Minidump

Copy the Minidump files and save them to another location like Desktop or Documents.

Then please upload it to Cloud storage and please share the shareable link here.

Let me know how it goes and I hope that helps.
