I have the same problem, it shows up as audio only on my PC but works with the mic on other devices. So frustrating
Xbox wireless headset MIC not working with Windows 10
I recently purchased the Microsoft Xbox wireless Bluetooth Headset to play on my Xbox and talk in Discord on my PC. Worked fine for about a week until Windows stopped recognizing my headset as an Input device for my mic. Still works for Audio output but not at all for Mic input. Tried using the same headset on my Mac laptop and it works exactly as it should with the headset and mic both responding correctly as input and output devices on the computer. However, still not working on my PC at all for the Mic. My computer has no updates currently, headset has been updated as far as it can, and I don't see much discussion on this issue. It has clearly been isolated to my PC. Anyone got a fix?

2022-07-05T08:21:46+00:00 Hi,
Thanks for your post in Microsoft Community.
I understand that you have encountered the problem that the XBOX wireless headset cannot be used as audio output, but cannot be used as audio input.
We can start by recalling what software or something was installed before the problem occurred?
If so, try uninstalling the recently installed software to see if there is any change.
After that we can consider using the Bluetooth/Audio troubleshooter.
Settings - Update & Security - Troubleshooting - Other Troubleshooting - Use Audio Troubleshooter and Bluetooth Troubleshooter respectively
If troubleshooting doesn't work, try disabling other audio input devices.
Right-click the volume icon in the taskbar - more sound settings - recording - temporarily disable input devices other than wireless headphones
Then check again to see if it works.
If the above still doesn't work, then try changing the driver.
Press Win+X, select Device Manager - Audio Input and Output - select your audio input device - right click to uninstall the device - restart Windows - reinstall the audio driver (the audio driver can usually be downloaded from the computer's manufacturer's official website)
Please feel free to let me know how it goes.
