    Hello Saba Aslam,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

You want to pin "news and interest" to the taskbar, right? Let me help you.

    1. Enter "news" in the search and you will find "Hover to open news and interests from the taskbar", click Open.

2.Set "Show news and interests on the taskbar" to "On" in the taskbar settings.

    1. News and interests will be displayed on the taskbar after the settings are completed.

If there is anything not clear, please do not hesitate to let me know.

    Hello Saba Aslam,

Your taskbar settings are all grayed out and the button cannot be turned on, right?

If so, this may be caused by a corrupted system file.

Please use the following command to scan and repair your system.

Press Windows Logo + X at the same time to start Windows PowerShell (Administrator) and execute the following commands separately, make sure to execute the next command after the previous one is finished, restart the computer after execution to confirm.

    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

    DISM /Online /Cleanup-image /RestoreHealth

    SFC /scannow

If the above command does not fix it, please switch to another account and log in to see. If you do not have another account under your system please try to create a new local administrator account.

If you don't have this problem under other accounts, it may be a problem with your original user profile, you can refer to the following link to fix a corrupt user profile in Windows.
