Hello Steven,
Welcome to Microsoft Community.
According to your description, you mean that the Camera application does not work properly on your device? Is the current situation that clicking the camera application directly fails to open the application? Or will it open normally, but with some error messages in the middle?
If you click on the app and it doesn't open or flashes back, it means the app may be damaged and needs to be repaired. Search for "Camera" in the taskbar, then right-click on the search results and try the "fix" and "reset" options. If it's a simple exception, these options can be used to fix it.
However, if the error information appears directly after opening, I hope you can send me the screenshot of the corresponding error information for confirmation, which will help to find the real cause of the error. You may see the following error message:
or
Or a screenshot of some other code reporting an error
In such cases, it is usually necessary to consider whether the device's camera(hardware) is faulty or whether the driver is abnormal.
You can do a few simple tests, such as trying to run some other application that calls the camera. If you find that the camera is not enabled properly, you may need to reinstall the camera driver (this can be found on the device's manufacturer website). However, if it is not fixed, the camera may be faulty.
If anything is unclear, please do not hesitate to let me know.
