    Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

    Check if the keyboard layout is set correctly.

    1. Open Start and select "Settings > Time & Language > Language";
    2. Under "Preferred languages", select the configured language and click on "Options";
    3. Under "Keyboards", select "Add a keyboard";
    4. Select the keyboard layout for the keyboard you have.
    • You can remove the unsupported layout by selecting it and clicking "Remove".

    If the layout is correct, go back to the previous settings page and select "Keyboard" above "Windows display language".

    Under "Override for default input method", change to your keyboard layout. Then uncheck the option "Let me use a different input method for each app window" if it is checked.

    Feel free to ask back any questions.

    In the settings, do you have only the UK keyboard layout configured, or do you have another keyboard layout?

    What happens when you press "Windows + Space"? Are other keyboard layouts displayed?

    This is the shortcut to switch between the configured keyboard layouts.

    And if you press "Windows + Space" again. The correct layout is used while editing a document in Word?

    Yes David. At the moment, only the UK keyboard appears. The US keyboard used to also show but after deleting it from preferring language, it no longer appears.

    I also tried pressing "windows + space" as you mentioned but nothing was displayed. Rather, I realized that the word document I was working in had its language changed to US English.

    Thanks so much for your willingness to assist me through this process.

    Hi David,

    Thanks so much for your assistance. Unfortunately, I had tried it earlier and repeated the process following your response but it didn't work. I would appreciate if you could make another suggestion. Thanks
