I have recently bought a Acer Laptop but it has Chromebook OS. I absolutely have to have Windows 10 or above to run many of my Cricut design space and other image editing software that I need to do my job. Is there anyway to download Windows onto my chromebook? I have to have Windows 10 home or higher.

It might be possible. Difficult to say how the drivers will be or anything else.

Really, it would be better to just buy a cheap Windows laptop. Sometimes there's ones on sale that have decent CPU performance for near bottom end Chromebook prices.

If you want to anyway because you have zero use for the Chromebook and can't get enough of extra complications in life then there's this: https://www.parallels.com/tips/chromebook-vs-laptop/get-windows/

Thank you for your prompt answers. I believe I will try to just sell my Chromebook and purchase a used desktop or laptop that already has Windows on it.

Thank you for your prompt answer. I believe I am going to try and sell my Chromebook or even see if I can find someone to trade with me for a desktop or laptop that already has Windows on it.

I'm sorry, but there's no way to install Windows on a Chromebook, because the hardware is customized for ChromeOS. In addition, because almost all the software that runs on a Chromebook is actually located on the internet - including ChromeOS and Play Store apps - a Chromebook doesn't need anywhere near the processing power needed by a Windows PC.

If the seller did not explain to you that a Chromebook doesn't run Windows, I'm afraid you were deceived.

    Hi lesliebriner1,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Really there is n successful method to run Windows on a Chromebook, the hardware on a Chromebook is not strong enough to run Windows, there are a few hacks available online to get Windows installed on a Chromebook, but I have done this before and while Windows may install, it barely runs and constantly freezes and crashes, and you could end up damaging the hardware in your Chromebook.
