I am using windows 10 and was trying to extend c drive, without success. The free space on the drive was previously marked as a d drive. I am trying to create a new simple volume using the free space, but am receiving an error message that 'there is not enough space available on the disc(s) to complete this operation'.

Hi Bernard
I have essentially followed these steps on each occasion previously and I still receive the error message.
Hi and thanks for reaching out. My name is Bernard a Windows fan like you. I'll be happy to help you out today.
I understand the issue you have, there is nothing to worry I am here to help, can you provide a screenshot of your disk management? moreover, have you tried to just create 80% of the free space? usually, we cannot maximize the free space as it is needing some space for system reserve.
Let me know how it goes and I hope that helps.
