Got a new Gigabyte gaming laptop, but cant get Windows activated. I believe Windows 11 was pre-loaded.

Upon attempting activation, I get "Windows reported that there was a problem with your OEM product key. Error code: 0xC004F215"

If I do a slmgr -dli I get Liscense Status: Notification, Nofication Reason: 0xC004F034.

You CANNOT transfer over product keys/licensees. Once you enter it to active windows the product key/licensee it is then married or linked to the Motherboard for the device that it was used on to active Windows. This is what allows you to not have reactive windows, every time you reinstall Windows to the device. Due to this you will have to buy and use another product key/licensee to active Windows.

    Sorry for the delay.

So, when I run that command, it gives me back a readout of "OA3xOriginalProductKey".

Let us see if the product key exists on the motherboard.

    In the Windows search,

type cmd, right-click it, and choose run as administrator.

Please execute the following command and let us know if you see a key.

    wmic path softwarelicensingservice get OA3xOriginalProductKey

"Windows Powershell(admin)" is not an option when right-clicking what passes for a Start button.

That said, running that in command prompt delivers output; however, I'd like to verify thats what you're asking for and to ask if its safe to post on a public forum, given it appears to contain several IDs and such.

As noted in the original post, it contains the same endpoint:

    License Status: Notification

    Notification Reason: 0xC004F034

    Troubleshooter reads out

    "Troubleshooting has completed
We weren't able to activate windows on this device.
You can activate this device by going to the Store."

There is an option for 'I changed hardware on this device recently', and if I click that, it outputs a window saying

    "Unable to activate Windows
We can't find any devices linked to your Microsoft account that can be used for reactivating the device you're using right now. Make sure you're signed in with the same Microsoft account you liked to the Windows 10 digital liscense on this device or try again later. "
