“Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item” This pops up every time I try to open any type of application also every time I sign in I get a white screen that takes a few minutes to load the home page.

    Hello DevinPRG,

    If resetting your computer did not work, you may need to consider performing a Clean Installation of Windows 11.

    Find another working computer then download the Media Creation tool(Click Download tool now). Use the tool to "Create installation media (USB flash drive at least 8GB in size) to install Windows 11". Instructions inside the link.

    Note: Please make sure to uncheck the "Use the recommended options for this PC" box.

    Insert the USB Installation media into your computer. Please change the boot order in the Bios Settings. Boot your PC from the Installation Media you created.

    Good day! I'm John Dev a Windows user like you and I'll be happy to assist you today. I know this has been difficult for you, Rest assured, I'm going to do my best to help you. When was the last time it worked properly?

    Please let me know if you have tried the methods below.

    1. Use your Antivirus software to scan your computer for any virus or malware.

    Please try to scan your system using the free edition of Malwarebytes.

    1. Please try to run DISM to check for any system errors and corrupted files.

    After that, restart your computer using clean boot of Windows

    1. Perform a Clean Boot

    Determine if a background program or a software conflict is causing the issue.

    Press Start then search and type: msconfig

    Select System Configuration > go to the Services tab.

    Select and make sure to put a check mark on "Hide all Microsoft services"

    Click Disable all.

    Go to Startup tab > Open Task Manager > Disable all the unnecessary services running there. Restart your computer.

    Please try to return to the login screen

    While holding the Left Shift key, click the Power icon > Restart

    This will bring you to Windows Recovery Environment

    Select Troubleshoot > Reset this PC > Keep my files option
