I bought a brand new laptop and it came with pre-installed Windows 11. Recently i've been running into some problems, probably some sort of malware or something and i want to "Reset My PC" by "Removing everything". I just want to make sure if i will lose my Free Windows 11 license that came with the laptop if my Reset the PC which will of-cource re-install the windows? Would i be able to just get my new installed copy of Windows activated through signing in to my microsoft account that has my device linked?

Hello aayush,
No worries. Resetting Windows 11 like in the tutorial below will not affect activation.
Correct. It doesn't matter if you choose "delete everything" or "keep my files" for activation. Those only affect what will be deleted during the reset.
Thanks for the instant reply Shawn. I looked into the article and just for some confirmation, which way should i opt for (as shown in the article) or it doesn't matter if i choose to "delete everything" or "keep my files". I just wanna make sure i don't lose my license as I am no sure if just signing into the Microsoft account i linked with my device later would activate my windows or not as the laptop came pre-installed and pre-activated from the manufacturer i just had to set it up on my name. Or the windows would simply re-install and re-activate itself after i choose to "Reset my PC"
