I'm trying to search for files of a certain size, that's my specific issue a the moment but in general I would like to to back to the old functionality of search in previous versions of Windows. I never understand why updates are made and functionality is removed. The current windows 11 explorer search is just AWFUL, not only are there no options to search for anything other than keyword, but it does not even find half the files.

How can I expand my search options?!

I've updated the registry to include {e2bf9676-5f8f-435c-97eb-11607a5bedf7}, it gave me a windows 10 commands, but the search options are still not there.

Please don't respond with some type of 3rd party app to use. not interested.

TIA

God that is awful. Remove all the obvious findable help and replace it with, "go to this web page and memorize all the operators."

    Hi Eric -

There's a great tutorial here with every possible thing that WIndows 11 Search can do, including size and all other available parameters:

If you have any further questions I would ask in the Eleven forums tutorial Comments section as they are very responsive, because those of us who write tutorials because of our interest in the subject love to interact on them.

Feel free to ask back any questions. I'll also be here to help.
