How then does a Standard User get an application like a different browser installed for his use?
How to allow Standard User (local account) to Install Programs
I have Win 11 set up with a Standard User Account (local) without admin privileges for day to day operations. I don't want anyone with admin privileges doing day to day work for safety reasons. What is the best way to give the Standard User temporary access to an admin password for doing tasks like installing programs and other tasks requiring admin?

I am Dave, I will help you with this.
There is no native way to do this, because to allow a standard user to install software, they would need to enter the admin password, which would defeat the purpose, because they could then log into the Admin account.
Are you using Windows 11 Home or Pro?

2022-12-06T21:55:16+00:00 If I am administrator on my laptop and another person who has a Standard Account wants to install a program that I approve of, how do I install it into her account? She can't install it because I don't want her to have admin privileges. I have tried to log in to her account and then provide the admin password when prompted, but that doesn't work for some reason. The loader gets downloaded and the installer appears to work, but the install doesn't get completed. There are no error messages.

Elevation of rights is a possibility but to do what you want with temporary access requires an admin to step in. They can't just have access and no access at their own will or you might as well may the user account an amin account lol.
