Try reverting the driver from the device manger itself.
Open device manager by pressing windows and X keys together and clicking on device manager.
click on sound, video and game controllers and right click on your audio device.
Click on update device.
Click on "Browse my computer for drivers"
Click on "Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer"
You should see a list containing all available drivers for your device including previous drivers.
Choose the one below the selected driver in the list.
Click on Next and let the driver install.
Close the windows and reboot your device.
Check if the issue has been resolved.
Your laptop's game/music mode is part of the dolby atmos that is specifically tuned to your laptop's speakers. The modes alter the EQ by a pre-set amount. As I said earlier, anytime there is a premium audio package, they have to delete the 10 band EQ in the realtek audio console to prevent the end-user from accidentally turning on mulitple EQ's at the same time and made the sound muddy.

Why then in the beginning my laptop had an equalizer? The excuse that the user is stupid and shouldn't touch...? What kind of explanation is that?
What is the brand and model of this device? Most manufacturers do provide previous builds of their device drivers.
Of course my drivers are updated. But the issue persist.
