Remote Desktop Not Allowing the Use of Dual Monitors

I have a Microsoft 11 Home computer and am using the Microsoft Remote Desktop app (not the Remote Desktop Connection app). I've been working from home since the pandemic, and have finally invested in a new set-up, but I cannot get the dual monitors to work on my new computer despite it working just fine on my previous laptop (MacOS). I cannot pull up any sort of Display settings on the Remote Desktop app, although I was able to do this on my old laptop. I'm able to remotely connect just fine, and the other monitor itself works and is connected correctly, but whenever I try to remotely connect and use both monitors, I am unable to do so.

What am I doing wrong that isn't letting me set up the dual monitors on the Remote Desktop app? Thanks in advance.

Hi, I’m Nicole, an independent advisor and a Windows user like you. I’ll be happy to help you out today.

I'm sorry that you are experiencing this issue, and I will try my best to assist you with this so that you find a satisfactory solution.

Did you already configure the settings of the remote desktop that you are using? If not, right-click the remote desktop you are using then click settings. On settings, turn off Use default settings. Next, Under display configuration, select all displays.

The other option below depends on you so you can test them one by one.

    Regards,

    Nicole

I'm not seeing an option to turn off "default settings" under the settings of the app I am using. Is there any other solution?

Hi. Can you provide a screenshot of the setting of your Remote desktop so I can fully understand the issue?
