How to I change which GPU Windows sets as "High Performance" and "Power Saving"?

I have two discrete GPU's, an Intel Arc and a NVIDIA 3080Ti. Windows is always setting the Intel Arc as the High Performance option in Graphics settings even though the NVIDIA 3080Ti is by far the higher performing GPU. Problem is if I let Windows choose which GPU to use it will choose the "High Performance" GPU for games which is set to Intel Arc so my games are all super slow and don't work even though I have all my monitors connected to the NVIDIA Card.

There doesn't seem to be any way to choose which discrete GPU is set for High Performance, Being able to swap them would resolve my issue. This needs to be fixed or can anyone tell me how I can set the NVIDIA GPU to high performance instead of the Intel Arc.

    This doesn't help at all. I am having the same issue as Jay.

    Windows thinks that the intel arc is the high performance GPU instead of the Nvidia card.

    This is a major issue and having to manually select for every single app is a non-starter of a resolution.

    We NEED the option to go in and manually select which GPU is designated as the high performance card and which is the power saving card in Windows. This is NOT something that Windows should exclusively choose on its own. There are way too many different cards in the ecosystem for it to make that kind of decision.

    This is not acceptable for users with dual card setups to separate encoding workloads from gaming + everything else.

    Edit: As it is, users should be able to designate which GPU to use when opening an application that might depend on it through a run prompt. Nvidia used to accomplish this with a context menu, but had to discontinue this feature because of a windows update last year. Ridiculous.

    Because I use the Arc card for encoding, running OBS and alternate GPU tasks while I'm gaming so that the main card doesn't encounter any stuttering or performance loss and can be set to output maximum quality. I just need the option to force Windows to select the NVIDIA card as the "Performance" GPU and the Intel Arc as the "Power Saving" GPU.

    That doesn't help as it just allows me to select the Graphics card on a per app basis so I have to go in and manually select every single app and chose the proper GPU for each. Windows has the Performance Option set to use the Intel Arc card and the Power Saving Option is set to the NVIDIA card. Those two need to be swapped so that "Let Windows Decide" works correctly. There's no way that I have found yet (even searching the registry) to set the Performance Option to be the NVIDIA GPU and the Power Saving Option to the Intel Arc card.

    So far I've tried uninstalling both cards drivers, physically removing the cards and reinstalling them one at a time in different orders and every time after both are installed Windows always select the Intel ARC as the Performance Option.

    If you have an Nvidia card why have you not removed the Arc card?
