Error 14098 usually occurs if your COMPONENTS registry hive is corrupt beyond repair. Do you have a recent System Restore point?
Anyway, please upload the CBS and Setup logs so that I can try to find which components are missing.
SetupDiag
Download SetupDiag from this link and run it. The tool collects the setup logs and saves them into a zip file named Logs.zip on your desktop. Upload the file to your OneDrive, Dropbox, or any other cloud hosting account and share the link here.
CBS logs
Please upload your CBS logs. Follow these steps to collect them:
- Open the folder "C:\Windows\Logs\CBS"
- Select all files, right-click on the section, click Send to → Compressed (zipped) folder.
- Click Yes when you see the following prompt:
Windows cannot create the Compressed (zipped) Folder here.
