I suggest in the Clean Install tutorial to back up the User data folders under your User account - Desktop, Documents, Pictures, Music, Downloads, etc, - after sorting your files into those folders which is the best way organize them. Then copy them to an external USB drive, or upload them to OneDrive (5gb free) or Google Drive (15gb free).
Everything else to not forget is also included so make a list and check it to make sure nothing is left behind.
