My laptop randomly spams the dot key from time to time, how do I fix this?

This problem arised yesterday, with the problem randomly showing up as soon as I booted up my laptop.

At first I didn't notice anything strange, until I opened up my browser and tried to type something in the search bar, that's when I noticed a bunch of dots were being typed with no input from me as if something was holding down the dot key.

The problem was temporarily fixed by simply pressing the dot key on my laptop's keyboard (I have two keyboards, an USB keyboard and a laptop keyboard.)

I thought this was a browser problem, so I tried opening a notepad, same problem.

I tried checking if something was under my dot key, there was nothing.

I tried to unplug my USB keyboard, still didn't work.

I disabled start-up tasks in task manager and restarted my computer, did not work.

I waited to see if it would get triggered on its own if I waited long enough, it did.

It seems as if this is a virtual input, not a physical one, since my dot key is perfectly fine on both my laptop and USB keyboard.

Even as I am typing this now, I am struggling to deal with the dot spam.

Strangely enough, this problem just sort of came out of nowhere, I haven't downloaded anything the past week.

No other keys are influenced by this mystery dot spam attack

The times at which the dots start spamming is very weird, sometimes it could go even for 1 hour with no dot spam, and sometimes it would stack, causing it to be almost impossible to type or get rid of it.

I cannot find anyone else with the same problem as me. Hopefully someone can help me here, it's getting very frustrating.

Try this method first and see what the keyboard behaves:

Thank you for replying, but apparently.. the problem solved itself eventually, I don't know how or why but atleast I'm happy it's over with.
