Hello,

My problem is that sometimes my DELL laptop keyboard blocks. If i connect a external keyboard is blocked too. I found a way to unlock keyboard by pressing key SHIFT multiple times but i dont know why this is happening and how i can prevent this.

When keyboard is lock (that seems a Windows 10 problem because happends with external keyboards too) i cant use CTRL+ALT+SUP, letters or numbers.

Hi, my name is Anderson Souza, I hope I can help you with your issue.

Plugging in an external keyboard does not always rule out a problem with the laptop's built-in keyboard. If you observe, both work simultaneously, so a problem in locking a key on one of them impacts the entire system.

There are some websites that can test if any keys are being pressed unintentionally, I personally like to use https://en.key-test.ru/

I have verified the address on the VirusTotal website and it appears to be a safe, malware-free website. But if you don't feel safe accessing the site, you can look for other options on the internet.

Note: This is a non-Microsoft website. The page appears to be providing accurate, safe information. Watch out for ads on the site that may advertise products frequently classified as a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Products). Thoroughly research any product advertised on the site before you decide to download and install it.

Alright, thanks for the feedback. Could you now check if the same problem occurs if you enable a Windows clean boot?

A clean boot is performed to start Windows using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This helps to eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program or an update or when you run a program on Windows 10. You can also resolve or determine which conflict is causing the problem by performing a clean boot.

Please check the necessary procedures to do a clean boot on Windows at the link below:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

If the problem does not occur at Clean Boot, the article itself indicates how to identify the problem.

    Hi Carla,

That does sound a bit unusual. Is there any apps or drivers you have installed that may look suspicious, or are from unknown publishers?

If not there may be potential issue with your copy of Windows 10. If this is the case, use the steps here: Reset your PC and look at the drop-down tab.

Let me know if you need any further help!

Hello and thanks for your reply,

I tested all the keys of the built-in keyboard and check that the key i pressed, is the key that your recommended website detects. It doesnt seems when i press a key, it press another unintentionally
