I recently bought a laptop and finished all the settings.

Once it showed 'Not able to use PIN due to a problem (Code: 0xd000a002)'

What's wrong with my new laptop?

This error started happening to me after I did the latest Windows 11 update Version 22H2 on December 22, 2022. Don't you all test these updates out thoroughly before you release them to the public?! I guess not! Microsoft screwed this up, and they need to fix it!

I have the same problem. Except, I can’t even access my own laptop. I can’t log in to even change the settings.

    Dear all,

I have been confronted with the same problem and found a solution

Go to "Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options"

First, you delete your PIN connexion and then create a new one.

Once your PIN connexion reboots, it is going to be possible to re-parameter sign-in using fingerprints.

    enjoy !

I'm getting this same code and I'm not techy at all so trying to fix it has been Hell! It's day 2 for me and I'm going to get fired thanks to this issue.
