Don't know how to get rid of a script error that appears every 5-10 minutes.

Try the methods below.

1. Run the command.

> Press Win key + R.

>Copy-paste the command below and enter:

Regsvr32 urlmon.dll

> Restart the PC and see if

2. Go to Internet Properties.

> Press Win key + R.

> Copy-paste the command below and enter.

inetcpl.cpl

>click the Advanced tab.

> scroll down to the Browsing category.

>Once you get there, uncheck the box associated with Display a notification about every script error.

> Click on Apply.

> Restart the PC.

I think I figured it out to some extent. As I was typing the above reply, I thought to myself that this sounded like the screen saver was trying to engage even though I did not enable a screen saver. Sure enough, the screen saver was enabled and set to 5 minutes. I turned the screen saver off and I am no longer getting the error.

I do not believe I enabled the screen saver so I am confused as to why this would start out of the blue a couple of weeks ago.

Hello.

That is what is odd and has me confused. I am not sure what app/browser it is coming from. I will get it when I am just sitting at the Desktop with no apps running or browser open as far as I know. I think it may be something running in the background that I am not aware of. It will also only appear if the computer is sitting dormant with no keystrokes or mouse movements for 5-10 minutes. It will not occur if a video (like YouTube or a streaming service) is running or I am actively typing.

Are you facing the issue on a browser or any application?

If it is a browser, then is it any particular website where you are facing the issue?

Also did you check on another browser?

If it is an application, did you reinstall the application?

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, this did not fix the issue. Oddly enough, the 'Display a notification about every script error' box was already un-checked.

Any other suggestions?
