The water seeped into the keyboard. I dried it for 24 hours and then plugged it in to charge. Then I tried switching it on and it shows the message:

no bootable devices Found

press F1 key to retry boot

press F2 key to reboot into setup

press F5 key to run on-board diagnostics

But none of the keys on the keyboard are working and it's stuck on this screen.

It sounds like it's very likely that the computer is seriously damaged. You should check with Dell as to whether they can repair it and what it would cost. Or try other computer repair companies.

Sorry to tell you what you undoubtedly don't want to hear, but one of the many reasons I recommend against laptops for most people is that they are especially prone to this kind of damage.

    Hello Karen,

Thanks for your response, I'm really afraid that it's already a hardware issue, to make sure, you may reach your device manufacturer so they could check the hardware itself.

Please also try to follow the steps below and let's check if you will be able to open the WinRE page:

Please press the Power button to turn on your device, then once the Windows logo appears , press the power button to turn off your device, repeat the process 3 times until we reach the Windows recovery/ Advanced options.

Just in case you're able to open that page, please check if the keyboard is working from there. If it's not, you will be needing an external keyboard in able to run any troubleshooting steps.

    Thank you,

    Christine

    Hi Karen,

I'm Christine, an independent advisor and a Windows user like you. I can see here that your screen is stuck at no bootable device found. This message occurs when the primary drive is not being detected.

You need to check the Boot options to see if your HDD or SSD is still set as your boot priority, but since you've mentioned that the keyboard is not working, may I know if it's possible for you to use an external keyboard?

I would like to be transparent with you, there's a high chance that it's already a hardware issue and you will be needing to reach your device manufacturer to check the hardware personally so they could replace or fix the hardware that needs to be addressed.

    Thank you,

    Christine L
